NeedleFinder 4.3 E-Discovery Software Release Provides Increased Efficiency

Equivalent DATA (EQD), a Texas based e-discovery software provider, today announced the release of NeedleFinder® 4.3. This latest release boasts numerous upgrades and enhancements such as TIFF on the fly, foldering on the fly, redesigned search protocols, greater user flexibility for reporting, and much more, all to help users increase efficiency in the analysis, review, and production of relevant case data and documents.

Analysis

The Analysis Module’s search functionality has been completely revamped, allowing complex searches to be run in the background to maximize efficiency. Save and Combine has been reengineered to allow further analysis of results of a combined query.

Review – Search

Reviewers can now search by production from the search tab, i.e. bring in a production and use any filter, as well as add review folders on the fly and search on review folders. NeedleFinder 4.3 adds the ability to search within the Review module for production fields, e.g. BEG DOC, END DOC, or by individual DOC ID, multiple DOC IDs, or ranges of DOC IDs.

Review – Send to Grid

The Review Document Grid has also been enhanced in the latest release. In grid view, users now can access BEG DOC, END DOC, BEG ATT, and END ATT. Production set information is visible per document as well, so users can visualize in which productions a document resides. Users can also folder from the grid. Custom fields now are available, searchable, and exportable from grid view, which enhances the export of privilege logs. Field selections have been expanded on the grid, and every field in the grid is now searchable.

Additional Improvements and Features

NeedleFinder 4.3 users are now able to TIFF on the fly. Local printing options as well as production editing functionality have been dramatically enhanced. Multiple productions for a single document are now supported. The enhanced NeedleFinder 4.3 platform is available publicly today.
