On the heels of the much-touted release of NeedleFinder® 4.0, legal software company Equivalent DATA today announced new integrated features that further enhance the functionality and seamlessness of the end to end platform. Over 200 backend and 22 front-end upgrades are included and have been made available immediately to NeedleFinder users.
In addition to searching over 400 metadata fields, users can now search based on custom fields and save and combine search queries to streamline processes and minimize user errors. “These enhancements bring a new level of granularity in e-discovery search,” says Barry Peters, Director of Software Support and Business Development. “If it’s indexed, you can search it.” Analysis folders and culling history are now automatically available in the Review tab and are fully searchable, bringing increased simplicity and integration to the discovery process.
NeedleFinder is now dual monitor compatible, allowing reviewers to preview documents on a second monitor during linear review. NeedleFinder® Groups allow administrators to create document batches and assign them to reviewer groups, which can be set up with predetermined permissions, roles, and responsibilities. “The ability to group reviewers and bulk assign documents will save tremendous amounts of time, particularly in large cases,” explains Executive Vice President Jeff Cole. “It adds an additional level of security while making e-discovery that much simpler.”
A new Productions tab includes a Production History Grid where production sets are searchable, production requests can be cancelled, and production log reports can be exported. Production image previews, which include all annotations, Bates numbering, and redactions, are also now available from both the Review and Production tabs.
“Our goal is to arm our clients with every tool they need to get the job done and win the case,” explains President and CEO Mike Medrano. “NeedleFinder will continue to evolve as we incorporate our clients’ valuable feedback to optimize user experience and maximize efficiency.” The enhanced NeedleFinder 4.0 platform is available publicly today.
